Summary

This project aims to bolster the firm's global IT infrastructure and applications by optimizing the Data & Analytics Platform. The primary focus will be on enhancing the Business Intelligence (BI)/Analytics platforms, leveraging KNIME, Tableau, and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure) to provide efficient operations, engineering services, and support.

Key Objectives

1. Strengthen KNIME Infrastructure:

   • Administer and optimize KNIME Server and Hub environments.
   • Ensure seamless user and team management, job queue monitoring, and real-time hub monitoring.
   • Troubleshoot and resolve Hub issues, integrate KNIME with diverse data sources, and leverage KNIME Hub APIs.
   • Optimize KNIME workflow performance, implement robust backup and restore procedures, and streamline workflow publishing.

2. Enhance Tableau Platform:

   • Manage and optimize Tableau Online (SaaS) environments, focusing on performance tuning, best practices, and security.
   • Oversee backup/restore procedures, upgrades, vendor management, and data migration strategies.
   • Ensure a deep understanding of Tableau architecture, processes, and licensing models.
   • Provide technical support for Tableau Server, Tableau Cloud, Tableau Prep, Tableau Bridge, and Tableau Desktop.

3. Leverage Cloud Technologies:

   • Utilize cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) to enhance scalability, flexibility, and cost-efficiency.
   • Implement and manage EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) clusters for containerized applications.
   • Integrate cloud services with KNIME and Tableau platforms for seamless data flow and analytics.

4. Provide Comprehensive Support:

   • Offer 24/5 support for BI/Analytics platforms, including Tableau, Alteryx, and Microsoft Power BI.
   • Troubleshoot operational issues, address security concerns, and recommend infrastructure and application improvements.
   • Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to ensure optimal platform performance.
